Russell Stolzoff is a Certified Advanced Rolfer®, Rolf Movement® practitioner and Registered Counselor. With over 17 years experience, he has fashioned a style of practice that is skillful, relational and effective.

Since becoming a Certified Rolfer in 1989, Russell has developed and maintained a full-time body therapy practice and has received advanced certification in Rolfing, Rolfing Movement Integration, and somatic psychology. Russell is a member of the Rolf Institute’s faculty and is a past Chair of the Rolf Institute’s Board of Directors.

As a compliment to Rolfing, Russell completed a five-year course of study in Bodynamic Analysis, a Danish form of body psychotherapy that emphasizes physical elements of emotional and psychological development. This mind-body therapy also forms the basis of his counseling practice. His blend of education and background makes Russell a unique practitioner.

Russell has written articles about Rolfing for Massage Magazine, Rolf Lines: the journal of the Rolf Institute, and The Clinician’s Complete Reference to Complementary and Alternative Medicine. In partnership with the Bellingham Coop and local colleagues he has developed a children’s Rolfing clinic that regularly offers its services to children free of charge.

Outside of work Russell enjoys travel, and cooking. He is also realizing a dream by co-producing Louder Than Words, a documentary film on Jamaican music.
